Replayability: I think both would be about the same here. FarCry 5 has good gun noises and features a pretty heavy rock soundtrack with some subtle musical references to southern US musical styles/cliches, also techno in places. Sound Design: RAGE 2 has good gun noises and an oddly upbeat punky/rock/hardstyle soundtrack in a lot of places. Far Cry probably edges out RAGE 2 because there's just more stuff to look at everywhere. Textures and models are great in both games. Graphics: What do you like? Realistic rural America small town aesthetic that looks pretty hecking nice on high end machines? Or maybe you prefer bright neon colours superimposed against a dreary brown landscape, which creates an interesting arrangement of colours? Basically green planty world vs brown sandy world. RAGE 2 features the "neo-id" combat style we see in DOOM, but with a few extra superpowers that will feel familiar to Bioshock fans. Stealth will always be my favourite way to play these games. Formula hasn't changed much since Far Cry 3. Gameplay: You probably know what to expect from Far Cry.
The driving in RAGE 2 is terribad, so Far Cry 5 probably edges it out. One is green and pretty to look at, the other is brown and less pretty to look at. A map littered with side quests and collectathon garbage. The combat is *amazing fun*, but there's too little of it to be spread over an open world, and also oh boy collectathon padding.
I've read a number of reviews for RAGE 2, and played a good bit of it now.
